Support
Help with breathing practices, sounds and your private records in epiMind. Email us and a person answers.
If you need help right now
Support email is not an emergency service. If you may be in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. For emotional support, open the crisis resources inside epiMind, or use Find a Helpline to look for a service in your country.
What to include
Tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version and the epiMind version shown in Settings → About, plus what happened and what you expected. Please leave out your diary, passcode and other sensitive information — we don’t need them to help.
Does epiMind work offline?
Yes. Breathing, bundled sounds, practices, diary entries and check-ins work on your device. Calling or texting a helpline, opening a website, or saving a file to a cloud destination needs the matching phone or internet service.
Your records
- Move to another iPhone: on the original device, open Settings → Your data → Save a backup file and keep the file somewhere you trust. On the other device, open Restore from a backup and choose that file. The restore flow shows what it found before applying it.
- Text export: a readable summary, not a restorable backup. Backup and text files can be read outside the app and are not protected by the epiMind passcode; the place you save them controls their protection.
- Delete everything: Settings → Your data → Erase everything removes the records held by epiMind. Delete any exports or backup files separately from wherever you saved them; older Apple device backups are managed in Apple’s settings. There is no epiMind account or server copy to delete.
I forgot my app passcode
Use Face ID or Touch ID if you turned it on earlier. Otherwise the app cannot recover your passcode: its reset option erases the local records so you can start again, so read that confirmation carefully. An earlier backup file is the way to bring records back afterwards. Crisis resources stay available while the diary is locked.
Reminders or sounds
- Reminders not arriving: check the reminder controls in epiMind and the notification permission in iOS Settings. Focus modes can also hide or delay them.
- Can’t hear a sound: check the media volume and the audio output in Control Center, including Bluetooth headphones, and whether the sleep timer has ended.
Are the check-ins a diagnosis?
No. The GAD-7 and PHQ-8 check-ins help you look back at your own answers over time. They cannot diagnose a condition, watch for an emergency or replace a qualified professional. epiMind is a wellness companion, not medical care or a crisis service.
Privacy
